An unusual addition to the kitchen garden. This vibrantly red-veined dock relative has an attractive and neat (and not-weedy!) clump forming perennial habit. The young leaves are edible and add an interesting splash of colour to salads. Treat like spinach. A worthy addition to the garden based on its ornamental value alone, edibility is a bonus!
