A remarkable shrub for a lightly shaded spot. This Chinese native has an elegant, narrow and open form throughout the season, but becomes blockbuster in autumn. Masses of vibrant orange to red fleshed seeds dangle from a delicate pink pod with the whole effect resembling a jester’s hat.
