Description
A superior foliage plant, especially for contrasts. This purple-leafed form of hazelnut makes a bold impact in a mixed border, or as a feature shrub. Upright stems bear large, crinkled deep purple foliage. Pendulous yellow catkins add winter interest. Can be coppiced or pruned hard to reduce size.
