Clusters of icy blue, star-shaped flowers in early summer atop upright stems bearing narrow, willow-shaped leaves, which can turns attractive shades of yellow in autumn. A remarkable sight in early spring, with the stems emerging from the ground an extraordinary shade of metallic blue-black.
