Description
A wonderful edible Japanese perennial for foliage contrasts. The plum-coloured leaves are used in a range of dishes including soups, stir-fries, sushi and salads. In summer upright stems clothed in leaves are topped with tiny pink flowers. Cut spent flowers to prevent unwanted seeding. Pictured here with Geranium versicolor.
